The GoPro will not turn on. The SD card is faulty; The battery is dead or damaged; The battery housing is faulty; The motherboard is faulty; The camera freezes up. The camera needs to be reset; The SD card is wrong; The motherboard is faulty; The LCD screen is not responding. The LCD screen is faulty; The connection between the motherboard and I have seen this problem all over the internet and no real solution posted. I bought a gopro 5 Black and plugged it into the windows 10 laptop. It is not recognized. I plug it into a windows 7 system with same hardware and it comes up. The issue happens when you export the video, in any quality, it happens randomly and nearby transitions. The preview is usually ok before exporting; but after exporting the video the preview has black frames in the transitions, too. .

Turning off the back screen is not currently an option, but there is an option that might help out. You can set your screensaver for as little as 1 minute. When that minute is up, the back screen does go black. Thanks, Jeff. GoPro Hero7 White doesn't turn on. Another issue with my hero 7 white. A few days ago the screen remained frozen and I was unable to turn off the camera. When it eventually switched off by itself, I had troubles to charge the Gopro. The device is not even recognized by my laptop. Impossible to get it charged and to turn it off.

Camera not working, just black screen I recently purchased the hero10 and have been able to use it until this morning when I powered it on. The front and rear screen are black and I am unable to take pictures (just ends up being a black screen), but I can still use the touch screen buttons/functions and view old media.
