Yes it is an old system but once again you released it on the system. $98 dollars wasted. Same exact thing happened with me. Spent $80 on this game to find out that I couldn’t host coop if you’re on the last gen consoles. Reason #132 on why to get a PC ig 🙃.
For more on the game, check out our guides to Dead Island 2 fast travel, Dead Island 2 guns, and for all the details on the Dead Island 2 Skope devices dotted across Hell-A. Next Post Dead Island 2 Once you’re there, starting a co-op session in Dead Island 2 is simple. For hosts, simply head back to the main menu and select “Continue Game.”. Then, you’ve got four options on theHost sends invite to player 2. 4. Host views the invite (Do you want to join this game etc.) 5. While host is viewing the invite, Player 2 accepts Hosts invite. 6. Host waits a few seconds, then closes down invite. Now the host should get a "Player wants to join the game". Just accept and it should work.

As far as I know its only possible to do on Xbox 360. Heres the solution: 1. Go to the game lobby and hit X on the player profile whos game you are wanting to join. 2. Select "join session in progress" if that doesn't work hit B to back out of their profile and try again until it pops up. mournful - 12 years ago - report.start a mission and press right on the d-pad. this should bring up menus to find others on the same mission/in teh same area. also from the pause menu (start, not select) there is a lobby menu. try those. EDIT - i think both directions on the d-pad bring up different online menus.
